Poor Camera…
Weekly poem!!
My camera was a great one,
It’s pictures always clear,
And so I took it everywhere,
To capture each memory.
It couldn’t bear my school life,
Or so it would now seem,
For somehow at some point,
Something deep inside itself gave way,
Something it depended on to function.
It couldn’t handle the pressure,
Of the words and books and work,
And in my routine was left among them,
So something internal did snap.
The school was all it took to change,
Change my camera forever in the worst way,
And now I cannot say what it sees.
The pressure pushed down hard,
The under-screen has cracked,
An essential piece of communications,
It shall never retrieve.
And so something deep inside my backpack was it,
The thing to break my camera’s back (screen).
Sadness!
